Born and raised in Princeton, Dr. Brunner was influenced most by her father - a mathematician, and her mother - a former professional ballet dancer with New York City Ballet and the American Ballet Theater. They encouraged her to pursue her interests in painting and drawing as well as the sciences and medicine. As a result, Dr. Brunner studied art the Parsons school of Design in the summer and graduated from Rutgers College with a double major in biochemistry and psychology.
Dr. Brunner studied medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School – The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and graduated with honors. Her in depth training in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at New York University Medical Center afforded a comprehensive specialization in surgery of the face, head and neck.
Dr. Brunner then pursed fellowship training in Advanced Cosmetic Facial Plastic Surgery at the University of Toronto, through the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with Dr. Peter Adamson, past President of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. An extensive background in facial plastic surgery grants Dr. Brunner the ability to provide comprehensive surgical & medical management as well as extensive laser services to improve, augment and restore function and cosmetic appearance.
Dr. Brunner is double board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Brunner has been affiliated with The University Medical Center at Princeton as an Attending Physician in the Department of Surgery since 1997. Dr. Brunner continues her involvement with research in the field of cosmetic facial plastic surgery and facial rejuvenation laser surgery.
