Ellacor in Princeton, NJ

Tighter, firmer skin is possible without surgery, lasers, or energy-based devices, thanks to Ellacor’s innovative micro-coring technology that promotes new collagen and elastin production.

What Is Ellacor?

Ellacor belongs to an innovative class of aesthetic devices that use micro-coring technology to diminish lines, wrinkles, and age-related skin laxity in the mid to lower face. The device creates micro-channels in the skin at a precise depth to stimulate the body to produce more collagen and elastin.

It is a revolutionary heat-free device for minimally-invasive skin tightening and wrinkle reduction, and Dr. Brunner’s Princeton, NJ, office, is one of the few practices in the northeast to have this device.

How Does Ellacor Work?

Ellacor uses a breakthrough fractional tissue extraction process called micro-coring to treat the skin. The system’s proprietary hollow needles conduct micro-excisional removal of excess skin. It effectively removes thousands of tiny skin tissues –about 10,000 to 12,000 microcores of skin or about 4% to 8% of the skin without lasers or surgery.

The precise skin removal triggers the body’s natural healing response, resulting in an improvement in the appearance of lines and wrinkles. The ultrafine needles are so precise that they reach the fullness of the skin without the evidence of scarring.

How Long Is a Typical Treatment?

An Ellacor treatment typically takes about 30 to 45 minutes.

What Is Recovery Like After Treatment?

An Ellacor treatment only requires minimal recovery time. Most patients feel comfortable returning to their normal activities after around three days following their treatment.

Common side effects include redness and swelling, which should resolve within a few days. You will be advised to keep the treated areas covered with ointment for one to two days and avoid makeup and harsh skincare products for one week.

When Will I See Results?

Our patients in Princeton notice an improvement in skin laxity within several weeks after their treatment. Two to three sessions are typically recommended for optimal results, which are visible a few months after your final treatment.

What Will My Results Looks Like?

After your skin has healed from an Ellacor procedure, you can expect the following results:

  • Reduced excess, sagging skin
  • Diminished lines and wrinkles
  • Diminished appearance of marionette lines and jowls
  • Younger-looking skin that looks natural
