Spider veins are a common concern that do not cause physical damage but can make patients feel self-conscious. Spider veins look like thin branchlike red or purple lines and typically show up on the face, thighs, calves, ankles, and feet. These bothersome marks are caused by many factors, including genetics, but they can be treated using Nd:YAG laser technology. Dr. Eugenie Brunner, our extensively trained facial plastic surgeon and laser technician utilizes the Sciton PROFILE® laser to noninvasively break down these blood vessels. Once closed, these blood vessels will fade in appearance. The spider vein treatment takes approximately 45 minutes and is customized to suit your individual characteristics (like skin tone and color) and desired outcome. We can also provide additional information on how to minimize development of these lines in the future.
