Your skin, without a doubt, is at the core part of your bridal beauty plan as the countdown to the most photographed day of your life begins. While upgrading your skincare and fitness regimen may be a good start, you might need a little help from the experts to truly give your skin the boost it needs, making sure you are beautiful and confident as you walk down the aisle.
Helping pave your path to glowing skin as you approach the big day is Eugenie Brunner, MD, FACS of Cosmetic Facial Plastic Surgery & Skin Rejuvenation Laser Center. Serving the Princeton, NJ area since 1997, Dr. Brunner is committed to rejuvenating the skin and restoring a youthful appearance. She utilizes injectables, laser treatments (we have 14 lasers available!), and facelift surgeries to revitalize facial features and enhance the overall facial aesthetic. By prioritizing your beauty goals and performing all procedures herself, she is able to customize your treatment plan and help you look and feel your best on your wedding day.
Bridal Beauty Countdown
Investing in your skin requires planning ahead. This will give enough time for your skin to heal and to truly reap the benefits of your treatments. To help you mark your calendar, we’ve broken down your bridal beauty countdown so you can plan your treatments in advance:
1 Month Before
One treatment that can add to your non-surgical facelift would be neuromodulator injections. Wrinkle smoothers, such as Botox and Dysport, are designed to weaken the muscles that contribute to frown lines, deep forehead wrinkles, crow’s feet, and platysmal bands, leaving your skin tighter and firmer.
These injections (wrinkle smoothers and dermal fillers) are as much an art as a science. The procedure, therefore, should be performed by highly-skilled dermatologists or top facial plastic surgeons such as Dr. Brunner in Princeton, NJ. With her skill and artistic eye, she can precisely locate the appropriate areas to accurately administer the injectable to produce the desired results, while minimizing potential side effects.
Having wrinkle smoother injections such as Botox or Dysport should be done at least one month before your wedding to allow time for touch-up treatments.
6-8 Weeks Before
A quick way to rejuvenate the face without the need for surgery is through dermal fillers. Injectables such as Juvéderm and Restylane can restore your skin’s volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds, including those highly visible ones around the mouth, nose, and forehead. Dermal fillers can also be used to improve the definition of your lips by adding volume, shape, and proportion. Doing these injections weeks before your wedding will allow enough time to do touch-up treatments, as well as for any bruising to be completely resolved.

Offering a wide range of cosmetic benefits, PicoSure is not only an effective laser tattoo removal treatment, but a skin rejuvenation procedure that can address many common signs of aging. The innovative device uses a specialized Focus Lens Array that stimulates new collagen and elastin production, providing benefits such as:
- Minimizing brown spots and sun damage
- Minimizing fine lines
- Reducing acne scars
- Enhancing skin radiance
Clear + Brilliant is another advanced laser treatment we offer for those seeking to minimize early signs of aging and sun damage. This device can gently and effectively improve skin tone and texture with beautiful results, while also preventing the common signs of aging. It delivers targeted energy to provide cosmetic enhancement in the form of:
- Reduced appearance of fine lines
- Enhanced skin radiance
- Diminished pore size
- Reparation of mild to moderate sun damage
For best results, 2-3 sessions are recommended. The last session must be performed 1-2 weeks before your wedding day. We can also alternate the two laser treatments for more optimal results. We can perform PicoSure before Clear + Brilliant, or vice versa.
3-6 Months Before
To target spots and achieve a flawless complexion, you can undergo a skin resurfacing treatment in our Princeton, NJ office to create smoother and more evenly-toned skin with minimal downtime. The NewSurg by KTP uses green light laser to quickly deliver energy to treatment areas, breaking up common vascular and pigmented lesions. Skin concerns such as rosacea, sun damage, and brown spots on the face, neck, chest, arms, and legs can be effectively treated, helping you achieve the glowing, gorgeous skin you’ve always wanted.
Another treatment we recommend would be ADVALight, an innovative laser therapy used to improve skin tone, texture, health, and appearance of your skin with little to no discomfort and no recovery time. It can spot treat veins and lesions, and address common skin concerns including acne, acne scars, rosacea, pore size, and fine wrinkles.
Both of these laser treatments will require a few sessions with the last one done one month before your wedding day.
4-6 Months Before
Brides will often find themselves over analyzing their appearance before their wedding and nit-picking some stubborn pockets of fat, specifically in the neck. While a healthy diet and fitness regimen is a tried and tested formula, there are treatments that can speed up your facial contouring goals. Considered by many to be the safest and most effective minimally-invasive procedure for removing fat from a double chin, contouring the neck and jawline, and tightening neck skin with minimal recovery, SmartLipo can be the perfect alternative to a traditional facelift. It utilizes laser energy to help dissolve fat and to stimulate skin tightening. It provides an efficient fat removal system without the need for a long recovery time.

Imagine all the time you will save when you never have to undergo waxing, shaving, tweezing, and threading ever again. Laser hair removal works by emitting a laser beam of highly concentrated light into hair follicles. By selectively heating the hair follicles, the growth center of the hair is destroyed while the skin remains unaffected. And with access to the latest in laser technology in our Princeton, NJ office, Dr. Brunner is able to perform laser hair removal for people of all skin colors.
Laser hair removal will require several sessions with the last one done two weeks before your wedding day.
6-12 Months Before
Although your big special day is all about you, the mother of the bride should not be forgotten – the day is important to her too. If she is seeking to reduce the appearance of her wrinkles and revitalize her skin tone and texture to develop a more refreshed and youthful-looking appearance, she can benefit from a surgical facial enhancement. Our double-board certified facial plastic surgeon, Dr. Brunner offers a comprehensive selection of facial rejuvenation procedures that can help her patients achieve their aesthetic goals. With “A Surgeon’s Hands, An Artist’s Eye, A Woman’s Touch,” Eugenie Brunner, MD can provide you with exceptional results that are both beautiful and natural-looking. Examples of surgical procedures include:
- Facelift – By removing excess skin and tightening sagging tissue, a facelift can “turn back the clock” and restore your youthful appearance, reflecting the way you feel inside. This surgical procedure can treat minimal skin laxity, mild jowling, and improve the advanced signs of aging. You will look relaxed and refreshed on your big day.
- Rhinoplasty – This procedure can reduce a nose that is too large, narrow a nose that is too wide, or widen a nose that is too narrow. Surgical alterations that will sculpt the underlying nasal structure will improve the appearance and proportion of your nose, enhancing your facial harmony and self-confidence.
- Eyelid Surgery – Also called blepharoplasty, this procedure can correct issues such as droopy eyelids, puffiness, and bags under the eyes that make you look worn and tired. Excess skin is removed through an incision, resulting in a younger, more refreshed appearance with a firmer eye area.
