How would it feel to look younger and more glamorous at 57 than you did at 52? “Ecstatic” sums it up for one of Dr. Eugenie Brunner’s patients. Troubled by signs of aging, she came to Eugenie Brunner, MD, FACS at her cosmetic facial plastic surgery & skin rejuvenation laser center in Princeton, New Jersey several years ago. Even though she knew Dr. Brunner specializes in facial plastic surgery, Patient B eased her way into anti-aging treatments with non-surgical, minimally-invasive procedures first.  Committed to rejuvenating the skin and restoring a youthful appearance, Dr. Brunner utilizes injectables, facelift surgery, laser treatments, and various other progressive technologies and advanced surgical techniques to revitalize facial features and enhance the overall facial aesthetic. By prioritizing patient goals, she is able to customize treatment plans and create a positive overall experience. Patient B is happy to share photos of her progress and the types of procedures she had done at each stage of her rejuvenation. She hopes that other women and men will be inspired by the improvements that anti-aging treatments made to her appearance — and her confidence.

Stage 1:

At age 52, Patient B came to see Dr. Brunner in 2013 because she was troubled by some very common, but very unwanted, signs of aging, such as:

  • Brown spots
  • Spider veins
  • Facial redness
  • Volume loss
  • Deep creases
  • Lip lines
  • Under-eye hollows

While B looked vibrant and beautiful for her age, the “for her age” part dampened her self confidence. She muted her look with pastels to try to downplay her years. Because B wasn’t yet ready for plastic surgery, Eugenie Brunner MD administered a series of VariLite KTP green laser treatments that faded the patient’s brown spots, evaporated dysfunctional facial veins, and evened out her complexion. VariLite also clears:

  • Melasma
  • Age spots
  • Freckles
  • Spider veins
  • Rosacea
  • Lentigines
  • Pigmented moles
  • Port wine stains
  • Scars

Plastic surgeons are well-versed in the anti-aging properties of hyaluronic-acid based dermal fillers, which immediately add volume and form to the skin. Dr. Brunner filled in the deep creases around B’s mouth, known as marionette lines, with Restylane and Radiesse. Just a touch of additionalRestylane around her lips erased the “smoker’s lines” that caused B’s lipstick to bleed. Dr. Brunner also filled in and smoothed out the dark circles under B’s eyes with Belotero. The result was a fresh new look without a cut or stitch. B was thrilled! Stage 2:

After keeping up her injectables to maintain her renewed facial volume and smoothness for a year, B decided it was time to do something about her double chin and sagging jawline in 2014. She still wasn’t ready for surgery, so Dr. Brunner treated her with Smartlipo™.  Smartlipo removes excess chin fat by using laser energy to melt fat before liposuctioning it away. The combination of heat and fat removal also tightens your skin slightly, giving B a more youthful jawline.

Stage 3:

Between the ages of 54 and 56, B received regular touch-ups with her fillers and also had Botox® injections to erase forehead wrinkles and crow’s feet. She especially loved the way that Botox erased the “worry lines” between her brows, giving her a calmer and more youthful look.

Stage 4:

At age 57, B was ready for the big time in 2019. She decided to make the changes she loved more permanent by undergoing surgical procedures. facial plastic surgery treatment in princeton, njfacelift plastic surgery in princeton, nj

Dr. Brunner gave her a full facelift (aka rhytidectomy) with a neck lift. She also tightened the platysma muscle in B’s neck, which smoothed out the neck bands. B’s chin and jawline now looked sleek and elegant. So sleek and elegant, in fact, that she loves showing off her neck with flattering fashions, instead of trying to camouflage it with scarves and high-necked shirts. B also wanted to renew her eye area. Dr. Brunner performed an upper blepharoplasty, which opened and brightened her eyes and removed the excess, sagging skin.  Because a facelift, neck lift, and blepharoplasty last for 8-10 years, B can enjoy her renewed youthfulness and vitality for up to a decade. Dr. Brunner recommends annual or biannual laser treatments to keep her skin fresh and rejuvenated. facelift facial plastic surgery procedure in princeton, nj
